What is natural cooked food for dogs

Natural cooked food for dogs is food made with real ingredients —meat, offal and vegetables— gently steam cooked, just as you would cook at home, but formulated by nutritionists to be a complete and balanced diet. It's different from kibble, an ultra-processed product made at high temperatures and reduced to dry pellets, where the original ingredient is no longer recognisable. And it's different from the BARF diet, which serves the ingredients raw: we cook them, which improves digestibility and removes the health risks of raw meat. The result is food your dog recognises as real food —it smells and tastes like it— and that its digestive system makes better use of. Then each recipe is sterilised: that's how it arrives safe and stable, with no preservatives and without depending on the cold.
Packs of FUD food stored in the pantry, with no fridge or freezer

No freezing, no refrigeration, no hassle

Most natural food for dogs is sold frozen. That means making room in the freezer, remembering to defrost each portion and relying on the cold chain not breaking during transport. Our recipes don't need any of that. After cooking them, we sterilise them —the same principle that preserves traditional tinned foods— and that makes them stable for up to 5 months at room temperature, with no fridge or freezer. They arrive ready to serve: you open and serve. For you it means getting your freezer space back, forgetting about planning defrosting and being able to travel or spend a weekend away with no hassle. For your dog, the same natural, cooked food as always, with all its flavour. Free up your freezer!

It keeps for 5 months at room temperature.

How do we do it? With sterilisation: we heat the food once it's packaged to ensure its safety and stability, with no preservatives or cold chain.

Notebook with nutritional calculations next to natural ingredients for formulating recipes for dogs

Formulated by veterinary nutritionists

Every FUD recipe is formulated by veterinary nutritionists following the FEDIAF guidelines, the European standard for pet nutrition, to guarantee a complete and balanced diet in every portion. It's not just «natural» food: it's food designed with veterinary criteria. When you sign your dog up, we calculate their personalised portion based on weight, age, breed and activity level, so they get exactly what they need. And we adapt it to their particular situation: overweight, sensitivities, allergies or the changes that come with age. What's more, our team of veterinary nutritionists is available by phone and WhatsApp to answer any question about your dog's diet.

How the subscription works

  1. Choose their menu

Tell us about your dog: their age, weight, how active they are... and we'll recommend a menu that suits their needs.

  2. We cook their menu and send it to you

We prepare natural recipes with real ingredients, steam-cooked. We send them to you every month and, since they keep at room temperature, you store them wherever you like: no fridge or freezer needed.

  3. Open and serve

Fill their bowl whenever you like, without planning or defrosting. And let your furry friend enjoy complete, healthy, natural meals.

So far everything's perfect. We've been with them since September and our dog cries with excitement while we prepare her food. Service is great — we've changed the delivery address more than once because we were going away and it was always no problem. They always let you know a week before shipping in case you need to make any changes.

Excellent service from the whole FUD team. They're always making sure everything runs as it should (deliveries, food...). When you need to make a logistical change, they sort it out in no time; very personal service, not to mention the food. My two dogs are delighted, and so are we to give them the best nutrition! Thanks!🙏🏻😍

Trust, quality and great service. I've been with them for over a year and I'm thrilled, not only because of the product, which is fantastic — Akira devours it! Their customer service really stands out for response speed, the quality of solutions and how committed they are to your issues. They're always on the other end, they always reply super-fast and with the kindest words. Honestly, I can only recommend them.

I recommend FUD to all furry friends. I'm Lisa, a really picky pup when it comes to eating... and since I've been on FUD my life has changed for the better. The food smells great, tastes great (my bowl is always spotless!) and agrees with me wonderfully. I've tried many brands before, but this is the first one I genuinely enjoy. I recommend FUD to every pup who wants to eat well and feel better.

My pug loves FUD. I have a six-month-old pug who has eaten FUD from the start, and he loves the food. For me, it's one less thing to worry about, because they handle everything: they remind me when to place the order and the food arrives before I run out. They also follow up with a vet who calls to check how things are going so he stays healthy and trouble-free.

It's been a great discovery. My senior dog has never been a big eater and it was starting to worry me, but since I switched to FUD she loves it and leaves nothing in the bowl. I'm super happy with the change. They deliver the food in individual daily packs, which is really convenient.

We're more than thrilled with FUD food — our 7-month-old Shiba Inu loves it! It's a relief knowing you're giving your pet quality food. The service is great, and so is the delivery; it's really appreciated that they keep an eye on things so you never run out. A real winner! 100% recommended!

Frequently asked questions

See all questions

Does it need a fridge or freezer?
No. FUD keeps at room temperature, in the pantry or cupboard, just like a tinned food. Thanks to our steam cooking and sterilisation process, it needs no refrigeration while the pack is sealed. Once opened, keep it in the fridge and use it within 48 hours.

How long does it keep?
Up to 5 months at room temperature with the pack sealed, without losing any of its properties. It contains no preservatives: what keeps it stable is the sterilisation, not additives.

How can it keep for 5 months without preservatives?
Through sterilisation. It's the same principle as traditional tinned foods: we steam cook and sterilise the food, removing the microorganisms that spoil it. That keeps it safe and stable with no need for refrigeration or added preservatives.

Is it a complete and balanced diet?
Yes. Every FUD recipe is formulated by veterinary nutritionists following the FEDIAF guidelines, the European standard for pet nutrition. With every meal your dog gets all the nutrients it needs, with no need for supplements.

How is it different from kibble?
Kibble is ultra-processed at high temperatures and reduced to dry pellets, where the original ingredient is no longer recognisable. FUD is real ingredients —meat, offal, vegetables and cereals— steam cooked: food your dog recognises as real food and that its body makes better use of.

Is it the same as a BARF diet?
No. The BARF diet is based on raw ingredients; FUD cooks them. Cooking improves digestibility and removes the health risks associated with raw meat, while keeping the natural character of the ingredients.

Do you have recipes for dogs with allergies or sensitivities?
Yes. As well as our multi-protein recipes for everyday feeding, we have single-protein recipes, with just one protein source, ideal for dogs with food sensitivities or allergies. FUD Balance in particular is formulated for dogs with digestive issues. If you're unsure, our team of veterinary nutritionists will help you choose.

How do you serve it? Does it need heating?
It arrives ready to serve: open the pack and give it to your dog. You can serve it however your dog prefers: at room temperature, warmed, or even with a little broth added to make it more appetising.

How is my dog's portion calculated?
We calculate it personally based on weight, age, breed and activity level, and adapt it to their situation: overweight, sensitivities, allergies or age. Just tell us about your dog and we prepare a menu made to measure.

How much does it cost?
The price depends on your dog, because the portion is calculated to measure (a 4 kg dog isn't the same as a 40 kg one). The way to know the exact price is to calculate their personalised menu. It's also commitment-free: you can cancel whenever you want or pause the subscription if you go on holiday.
